Dubai Elite Cars Daily: Some Nice Cars in Dubai

Life in Dubai for our family has been quiet lately. These past 2 weekends, we just went to see the much talked about Fast and Furious 7 (we were supposed to watch it 3 weeks ago but the cinemas are always fully booked..just explaining myself haha). We also went to the largest trading hub of Chinese products outside of mainland China, Dragon Mart, which is located at Dubai International City. Dragon Mart is currently under expansion and the extended mall area will be called Dragon Mart 2 (I didn't see Son Goku there though haha).. Anyhow, this blog will showcase some of the nicest and unique cars that I've seen lately and hopefully you find it nice as well. So enjoy!

Tricycle Pickup in Dragon Mart

What way to start the blog off with this very unique Tricycle Pickup (I just gave it that name haha you can name it whatever you want though).. I saw this out of the norm "car" when we went to Dragon Mart last week and could not resist to take a snap of it. Looks nice, right?

Maserati in Dubai

How about this Maserati parked somewhere in Dubai? Looks UBER nice (reference to the sun cover haha).. Definitely a head turner and I literally had to turn to take a picture of this UBER-ly beautiful car..

Immaculate Dodge Charger

This Dodge Charger really made me say "Ooohh nice" when I saw it and I'm sure you would have said it too when you saw this white charger! Looks can really be deceiving and this-beautiful-outside- but-very-powerful-inside white Dodge charger will definitely outrace anyone when you underestimate it!

Maroon Jaguar

After the deceivingly white Dodge Charger, how about this nicely looking Maroon Jaguar? I'm sure this one you won't miss and will definitely deserve a second look when you pass by one.

Blue Dodge Charger

Last but not the least is this sporty looking blue Dodge Charger  that I saw last week as well. This will definitely make your day when you see it and will make you oohlala with amazement! :D Stay tuned for more cars this weekend! Will definitely take it up a notch! Very Nice, right? Very very nice indeed!

Dubai Elite Cars Daily: Blue Ice Cold Cars in Dubai

It's been scorching hot in Dubai lately (37 degrees Celsius with humidity up to 45%), and going out seems to be an impossible or unwanted task. You literally have to run from one building to the next available shade until you reach your destination since the heat is really unbearable to take. Because of this, all you want to do the whole day is stay inside your room/office or inside the mall with air-conditioning and then just come out at night when the sun goes down in order to avoid the heat. For us to at least forget about the heat and cool off a little, today's version of Dubai Elite Daily will feature blue ice cold cars that we've seen these past few hot days. So grab a cup of ice cold cola and add some nachos (well you gotta have something to eat haha) and enjoy the cold view!

Second Hand Cars in Dubai are Good as New

In Dubai, buying a car is as easy as buying a new pair of shoes (well, of course, I'm talking about buying shoes for men haha). Because of this easy access to cars, everyone seems to have one (and that my friends explains why Sheikh Zayed, the main highway of Dubai, seems to be always full haha). Additionally, people in Dubai, especially the Dubai Elites, tend to change cars every now and then and usually ends up selling their "almost" brand new cars in order to buy a new one and then the trend goes on. So because of this reason, second hand cars in Dubai are usually as good as brand new cars. Most of Dubai's second hand cars has very low mileage, has been rarely used or not used at all, and looks exactly the same as it was bought. Yes, exactly as it was bought, of course with the exception of plastic covers in it's seats but I won't be surprised if some of them cars still have them on though. True story, bro!

You will be able to find these semi-used cars in leading classified websites such as Dubizzle, Dubaicars, and many others. But most notably, the most known shop for second hand cars in Dubai is the Al Futtaim Automall which has the best collection of used cars at the best prices, and speaking of which actually has an ongoing sale, just check out their website here (yes, cars do go on sale as well haha):

Get a Car in Dubai for Driving Safe

Dubai is the home of the world's fastest super cars and with these super cars it's very hard to slow down especially in the open roads and highways which usually have speed limits (the Fast and Furious cars would definitely have thousands of fine driving that fast haha but I guess it's worth it with how much it has gross so far: 1 Billion USD in 17 days!). But in Dubai drivers who slows down and follows the rules or speed limits and manage to get past a year without any fines or violations will have a chance to win a car. Yes a car will be rewarded for being careful driving a car (a little bit of tongue twister there). Dubai Police and it's white point system will reward motorists that doesn't incur any violations throughout the year. This system was introduced in 2012 to limit road accidents and incidents by rewarding those who follows the rules day in and day out throughout the year. Not bad at all, you save money being fined and also have a chance to win a car! Not bad at all!

Traffic in Dubai
via gulfnews.com

As per our best friend Wikipedia,  in Dubai 120 is the maximum speed limit which shows on board and have the tolerance of +20 km/h. But whenever it shows 140, no tolerance is available. Speed cameras can be expected in any roads.

The white point system listed a total of only 1,500 safe drivers this past 2014 that didn't have any violations or fines for the whole year. Congratulations and hats off to all of the drivers as this was not a small feat at all as only 1,500 of an estimated 2.2 million population in Dubai or 0.068% was able to accomplish this feat (not all has cars so probably around 1 million or so :D but you get the point).

Initially, only 1 of these 1,500 driver's names was supposed to be drawn to win a car, but Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum added another prize and picked another winner of another car. It was indeed a good day to be one of these elite safe drivers, but most especially, it was better day for the 2 winners of the year long event. So it's not bad to drive slow after all. As my dad in law say, "When you're in a hurry, don't hurry". This is really a good motto to live by as a driver, because when we hurry something bad usually happens :) So sit back, wear your seat belt, and don't drink and drive!
