The Dubai World Cup 2015, which is the World's Richest Race is back and is bigger than ever. The richest day of racing in the world with a combined prize purse of $29.25 Million US Dollars will be taking place on the last Saturday of March at the iconic Meydan Racecourse. The event will feature nine races, highlighted by the $10 Million Dollars Dubai World Cup (image below) sponsored by Emirates Airline.

Last year's winner was the horse African Story (ridden by Silvestre de Sousa) which is part of the Godolphin Racing Club owned by Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Godolphin Racing has won the Dubai World Record for a record 6 times. 

For the record, no horse has ever won this race more than once, so African Story has a chance to make history by winning this year's prestigious event. 

The event  will close with the multi-talented Kylie Minogue performing a range of hits that span her phenomenal career.

Another Dubai World Record: Longest Handmade Gold Chain

Aside from elite cars, barracks of oil, skyscrapers, expensive hotels, and other extreme and out of this world records, Dubai UAE is also most known for it's Gold (gold ferrari anyone?). 

What other way to show the world of it's Gold by breaking the Guinness Book of World Records, right? Yes, Dubai did it how it knows how to and broke the longest handmade gold chain in the World measured at 5 Kilometres long as per the Guinness Book of World Records. This gold chain is worth around 22 Million Dirhams or around $6 Million US Dollars and is really a beautiful masterpiece.

This masterpiece weighs no less than 240 kilograms and has over 4 million links and it took 100 craftsmen over 45 days to produce. The 22 carat gold record-breaking treasure was created to celebrate the Dubai Shopping Festival’s (DSF) 20th anniversary and was made by the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG) in association with the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE).

World's Most Expensive Car is not really a car?

Yes, you heard me right! The world's most expensive car is not really a car! But a TOY CAR! UAE unveils the Gold and Diamond Lamborghini toy car worth around $7.4 Million Dollars, which makes its way into the Guinness Book of World Records for Dubai as the Most Expensive Car in the World... or a toy car for that matter..

What's good about this is that 10% of the $7.4 million price-tag (around $650,000 or AED 2.4 Million) will go to charity. Faith in humanity restored a bit.

And if you think that the car is all looks and no performance – well, think again. The model Aventador boasts of a V12 engine and a massive 700bhp. The Aventador LP700-4 has a seven-speed transmission, and reaches 100kmph in under 3 seconds.
