It's getting hotter and hotter here in Dubai and going outside has gotten very difficult. Currently, temperatures are ranging from 35 degrees to 40 degrees Celsius (or around 94 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit) and is getting worse day after day. Couple that with a humidity of 23% to 46% then definitely it's going to be a very very hot sticky day. To cope up with the scorching hot weather, this episode of the Dubai Elite Cars Daily will feature some of the hottest cars we've seen in the Dubai Streets these past few days. So sit back, relax, and be careful cause it's gonna be hot!
Black Lamborghini Aventador like a boss
Believe me when I say, that this Lamborghini Aventador will be one of the hottest cars that you will ever see in Dubai. Aside from the out of this world black-matte finishing, this car also has one of the elite numbers in Dubai (it's 2 digits fyi :D) and is definitely one of the hottest and most beautiful cars you will see.
Stripped off Mclaren
How often do you see a stripped off McLaren? I'm sure not very often. And this hot shot was taken in one of the sports car shop near Dubai Mall (apologies for the copy as it was taken outside the shop haha).
Ford Mustang
Another very hot Ford Mustang parked in some open hot area in Dubai. It definitely was one hot car and the hot rays of the sun definitely made the car hotter don't you agree? For sure it does. :)
Porsche Cayman S
Next car is this Porsche Cayman S that is parked in a not so hot area in Dubai (good for him), but it doesn't affect the hot impact of this beautiful sports car which is way hot.
Yellow Hot Ferrari
What way to cap off the hottest cars with a Yellow Ferrari? Yeah this for sure is definitely hot as a sauna spa and the plate number 1 from KSA definitely adds to the car's hotness that already immeasurable by our hot-meter scale. So damn hot! :)
On November 28, 2014, Dubai broke another World Record for for the Most Number of Different Brand of Cars to line up in a parade that was held in the beautiful Meydan Race Track in Motor Village. This was tagged as the "Dubai Grand Parade" and featured 58 different brands of cars including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Aston Martin and all other brands that you can think of (I don't know if one of the UFO's joined the parade haha) that lined up to help break the world record. Car enthusiasts with their precious cars/rides from all over Dubai joined bumper to bumper in this world-breaking feat and definitely the only traffic that everyone wants to be a part of.

The first St. Patrick's Day parade didn't take place in Ireland, but actually in New York City on March 17, 1762. Now, over 100 US cities have St. Patrick's Day parades. It's been 2 and a half days since my first blog and I still haven't seen any Dubai Elite Cars. During this time, I happen to stumble upon a site (www.autotraderuae.com) that shows the prices of these so called "Elite Plates" and ohh boy are they EXPENSIVE. The most expensive available 3-digit plate number is "the number that cannot be named" worth around 2.5 Million Dirhams or around $685,000. (For conversion, 1 USD is around 3.65 Dirhams). While the most expensive 2-digit number is the usual favorite number of our friends haha.. Just check it out below..

For comparison and sanity-check I googled "What can you buy with $500,000" and here's what I
found:

In the end, it's still your choice on what to spend with your "hard-earned" money. It's just a matter of choice and as they say "It's all about the money, money, money" or is the other way around haha..
2 days has passed since my first blog in search for Dubai Elite Cars but so far I haven't seen any 3-digit ferraris roaming around (this might be more difficult than I thought it would be haha).
So for the meantime, let's talk about how "Elite" these plate numbers really are and what is the most expensive plate number ever sold.
So I searched in Google exactly as I wanted (like what we usually do when we search for our home works): "Most Expensive Plate Numbers in the World"
Then not to my surprise, the most expensive plate number ever sold was the plate number "1" in Abu Dhabi:
This was sold to Saeed Abdul Ghaffer Khouri for 52.2 Million Dirhams or around 14.3 Million USD. This is currently the holder for the most expensive plate number sold in history in the Guinness Book of World Records. I say currently, because in a year or so, for sure there will be another plate number to be up for grabs (plate number lower than 1 like maybe number -1? hahaha I have no idea if that's even allowed).
Second on the list is not number 2, but the plate number "5":
This was sold for a not so shabby 22.7 Million Dirhams or around 6.8 Million USD in 2007 to Mr. Khoury (some says he's a close relative of the guy who bought number 1, which makes sense haha). The good thing is that Mr. Khoury says that once he passes, he will have this plate auctioned and the money will go to charity. So that's not so bad :)

Aside from the World Record of having the most expensive Plate Number Sold, the Auction also got the World Record for the most money raised for a plate auction so that's another good thing :)
